A friend at work gave me these two candy hearts. "How military!", I said.

Some people use Valentine's Day as a sort of apology. I think it's terrible. They buy presents and exchange gifts as if to say, I'm sorry for being such a jerk on the other 364 days of the last year.

My thoughts on Valentine's Day: Cherish and appreciate your loved one each and every day of the year. Consider each meal together a date. Wink. Compliment often. Let all of your actions express how special they are to you, January through December. Make every day a holiday.

Then, when you wake up on Valentine's day, you can look at one another, shrug, smile, and keep on loving�full speed ahead.
