2004-01-30 IMPORTANT NEW NOTES FROM JUSTIN: US Tour Day 138: Clearwater Played at the Neptune Bar in Clearwater, Florida this evening. The sound guy was the biggest jerk I've encountered in my 17 years of playing music. I asked him if I could get some guitar in my monitors and he told me that I was two seconds from not playing at all. He was threatening to kick me off the stage! I had NOTHING in my monitors and almost no guitar in the house. The crowd was really enthusiastic anyways—it was the best crowd of the four gigs I've done in the past three nights. I feel very energized after these recent shows. The crowd response has been great, and I'm selling albums every night. Since the final product is not printed yet, what I've been doing is pre–selling the CD. I give the person a CD-R of the album and I take their address and put them on a list of folks who will I will mail the CD to as soon as it comes out. Tourning playing music has really been working out well for me. I play 15-20 minute sets and then sell my photos and CDs afterwards. I sold TWO photos two nights ago. That's $100! You know, if I keep this up I won't be so poor anymore! PREVIOUS ENTRY - NEXT ENTRY |
