2003-04-02 3:23 p.m. Wow. Andie pointed out to me the most insensitive thing I have ever seen in writing to date. And, it was written by someone I know. Read this thread, a brief conversation with a friend's ex–girlfriend. We all make choices which could have been better. Yet it boggles my mind that a fantastically–intelligent close friend used to actually date this person. People can get so fooled—ensnared—by outer appearance so that they just kind of overlook the murky quagmire that fills that person's heart and soul. In spite of this girl's appealing exterior and dazzling artistic talent, she is possibly the most hateful, unhappy, bigoted, and materialistic person I have ever met. I hate to say such a thing, but it is the truth. It is a shame and a terrible loss for all people when even one person is filled with such anger, violence, hatred, bigotry, and lack of compassion. I hope that today we can send out invisible waves of compassion and understanding to the person who wrote "AIDS IS FOR HOMOS AND JUNKIES, i think people who have aids dont deserve to be saved" For those who are tempted: Please don't write anything insulting or inflammatory in that person's guest book. That sort of thing just doesn't help anyone. PREVIOUS ENTRY - NEXT ENTRY |
